All my good intentions of keeping up to date and blogging on a regular basis seem to have slipped already. My trip to Bournemouth, where these photos were taken, was a long time ago. Way back in May, to be precise. But looking at them again has me remembering how much I love the British seaside.

The weather was typical of good ol’ England and ranged drastically between glorious sunshine and throwing down rain like it was the middle of winter but my friends and I still managed to have a paddle in the sea, have lunch on the seafront and just generally get our fill of sea air. We visited on the weekend of the annual Wheels Festival so there was all kinds of activities involving cars, bikes, rollerblades… Of course, I couldn’t leave without a trip along the pier, a stick of Rock and even a few cocktails at the bar overlooking the sea. There is just something about the amount of space and air of the coast that calms me down like no where else can.

As well as trips to the seaside I have been further afield in the last few months, so there’ll be a few posts coming up that are decidedly more sunny, warm and Spanish!
